John is a respected technical professional with a broad background in Information Technology and networking systems development and implementation. With 25 years of experience, he has a proven track record of success with a wide range of companies and projects.

His corporate experience includes serving in senior technical and management positions for a variety of companies. One of his major projects was at Southern Management Corporation in Tyson’s Corner, VA, where he was responsible for restructuring the existing infrastructure, desktop and enterprise software and business processes. That complex project for the area’s largest privately held property owner and management company encompassed the company’s data center, 70 remote locations and 1,200 employees. Link to testimonial.

John also developed the bid requests that supported the plan for Southern Management, and managed the vendors and the installation and service deliveries. Vendors included Cisco, HP, Verizon and a variety of systems integrators. Other corporate experience includes NCR Corporation – AT.

One of John’s real passions is working with the owners and managers of small and mid-sized businesses to help them succeed. In 1997 he founded SOHO (Small Office Home Office) Systems, Inc. Through SOHO, John has worked with customers in Frederick and Montgomery Counties and surrounding areas who need installations ranging from two to 70 workstations and servers. He consults with clients to translate their business requirements into IT solutions that encompass a wide range of hardware, software and services using products from 3COM, American Power Conversions, Cisco, Dell, HP, IBM, Microsoft, McAfee, Peachtree, SonicWall, Symantec and others.

John obtained his B. A. degree from Auburn University and his M.A. from the University of Florida. In addition, he has obtained the Novell Sales Certification and completed the MCSE Certification curriculum in 1997. Additionally, he attends technical courses on an on-going basis to stay abreast of the newest IT, networking and Internet developments.
